These terms govern your use of SolveBeat (solvbeat.co.uk, solvbeat.com). By using the service, you agree to them.
SolveBeat runs automated passive security checks (TLS, headers, DNS, public records) on any domain, free, with no verification required — this only reads publicly available information.
SolveBeat can also run active checks (port scanning, deeper vulnerability detection) — but only once you've verified you own the domain via a DNS TXT record. This is required by law, not just our policy — see "Domain ownership" below.
SolveBeat is an automated scanning tool. It is not a substitute for a manual penetration test, and passing our checks does not guarantee your website is fully secure.
You may only request an active scan of a domain you own or have explicit written authorisation to test. Running active checks against a domain you don't own, without permission, may be a criminal offence under the UK Computer Misuse Act 1990 (and equivalent laws elsewhere). SolveBeat's domain verification step exists specifically to prevent this — you must not attempt to circumvent it.
Passive checks (the free, no-login scan) only use publicly available information and don't require this verification.
SolveBeat uses passwordless login — we email you a one-time 6-digit code instead of a password. You're responsible for keeping access to the email address on your account secure.

SolveBeat is provided "as is". Our automated checks are a useful starting point for improving your security posture, but we make no guarantee that they detect every vulnerability, or that a clean scan means your systems are fully secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolveBeat is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any security incident that occurs despite (or unrelated to) our scan results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly the "Acceptable use" section above. You can close your account at any time by contacting us.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
